Kingdom Defense: Strategy War Privacy Policy

This policy explains how your personal data is processed when you use Kingdom Defense: Strategy War (the “Game”), a mobile game developed by Vellum, in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and Google Play policies. This policy describes the practices that will apply once the Game is released.

2. Services used in the Game and data processed

The Game does not ask you to create an account and does not directly ask for your name, email address, phone number or location. The Game uses the following Google services, which process some data automatically:

• Google Play Games Services: if you choose to sign in, your Google Play Games player ID, player name and profile image; achievement and leaderboard records.
• Google AdMob (advertising): to show ads, prevent ad fraud and measure ad performance: device information (model, operating system, language), IP address and approximate location derived from it, and ad interactions. Because the Game also targets children, AdMob is configured for child-directed treatment: no personalized (interest-based) ads are shown, and ads are limited to content suitable for children.
• Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting): to understand how the Game is used and fix problems: app instance ID, in-game events (such as starting and completing a level), session length, device and operating system information, approximate location (country level) and crash logs. Advertising ID collection is disabled in Firebase, and this data is not used for advertising.
• Google Play Billing (in-app purchases): when you make a purchase, transaction details such as the product, date and order number. Your payment details (card number, etc.) are processed only by Google; Vellum has no access to them.
• Support correspondence: information you share when you email us.

3. Why we process it

• To provide the Game and save your progress and achievements,
• To process and verify in-app purchases,
• To show ads so that the Game can be offered for free,
• To detect and fix errors and improve the Game’s performance and experience,
• To prevent fraud and abuse,
• To respond to your support requests,
• To meet our legal obligations.

4. Legal bases

We process your data on the following legal bases under Article 5 of KVKK: entering into or performing a contract in order to provide the Game and process purchases (Art. 5/2-c), compliance with our legal obligations (Art. 5/2-ç), our legitimate interests, provided they do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms (Art. 5/2-f), and your explicit consent where required (Art. 5/1).

5. Children’s privacy

The Game is intended for a general audience that includes children. We do not knowingly collect more personal data from children than is necessary for the Game to work. Children are not shown personalized ads, and the advertising ID is not used for advertising targeted at children. We recommend that children play under the supervision of a parent or guardian, and that parents use Google Play’s parental controls for in-app purchases.

6. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only as needed for the purposes above with our service provider Google LLC (USA) and its affiliates (Google Play Games Services, AdMob, Firebase and Google Play Billing), and with competent public authorities where legally required. Because Google’s servers are located outside Türkiye, your data is transferred abroad in accordance with Article 9 of KVKK. 7. How long we keep it

Data is kept for as long as required for the purpose of processing and for any retention periods required by law. After that, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized. Data processed by Google services is kept according to the retention settings of the relevant service.

8. Deleting your data

Uninstalling the Game deletes the game data stored on your device. You can manage or delete your Google Play Games Services data in your Google account settings. To request deletion of data that Vellum can access, send an email with the subject “Kingdom Defense data deletion request” to iletisim@vellumsoftware.com.

9. Your rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it, learn the purpose of processing, know the third parties to whom it is transferred, request correction, deletion or destruction of your data, object to outcomes against you that result solely from automated analysis, and claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing. 10. Changes

We update this policy whenever the services used in the Game change. The current version is always published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
